We were able to award two $5,000 scholarships in our 17th year of supporting Mansfield high seniors.  We wanted to do something special in the 20th year of completing iCARE.   Congratulations to these Class of 2024 graduates for being so supportive of their special need peers.  We wish you good luck in your futures and have no doubt you will do great things.

The 17th annual Jamie Fund scholarships were awarded to the following Mansfield High School graduating seniors in 2024:

Stella Portadin:  Stella will be pursuing a career in Social Work or Psychology and wants to make a meaningful impact on others by educating them about accepting differences in all people.  She volunteered in many Mansfield clubs helping out and inspiring her special need peers.

Elisabeth Blacquier:  Elisabeth will attend Indiana University where she will study Psychology.  Elisabeth also volunteered with special need programs in high school where she said those relationships changed her mindset and made her appreciate how important relationships are and how those she made with special need classmates are ones she will never forget.

Each student received a $5,000 scholarship from the fund. Scholarships are given to graduating seniors who will be pursuing a degree in special education at an accredited four-year college or university and have demonstrated a commitment to special needs education and awareness.

Scholarships are typically awarded at the end of the school year. Applications are accepted through Mansfield High School. For more information, please contact The Jamie Fund.
